Holdover Time
Appropriately applied anti-icing fluids are expected to provide the appropriate published holdover time (HOT).
The holdover time is the period during which the aircraft is protected against refreezing. This time ends either by the takeoff of the aircraft or by frozen deposits forming on the treated surfaces.
The estimated holdover time is determined by the use of published holdover time tables.
